How Many Hotels Does Alex Polizzi Own? Look Inside Her Collection

Alex Polizzi, the sharp-tongued star of “The Hotel Inspector,”  is renowned for her purposeful advice and no-holds-barred approach to reviving floundering hotels. But beyond her TV celebrity status, she’s an expert hotelier with a sensitive eye for detail. Her expertise isn’t surprising; Alex hails from the legendary Forte hotel dynasty, learning the ropes from industry giants. How many hotels does this well-known figure own and operate? Let’s dive into detail!

Alex Polizzi’s Hotels: An Overview

  1. Tresanton Hotel: A chic seaside escape perched on the Cornish coast, Hotel Tresanton exudes laid-back luxury with stunning ocean views. Hotel Tresanton is a collection of whitewashed buildings. Each room in this hotel has a different feel and a view of the sea.
  2. Endsleigh Hotel: Nestled within the enchanting grounds designed by Humphry Repton, Hotel Endsleigh offers a fairytale retreat in the heart of Devon. It is designed in 100 acres of fairy tale gardens. This is one of my favorite hotels in Devon, Britain.
  3. The Star: Step back in time at The Star, a charming medieval inn nestled in the picturesque village of Alfriston, East Sussex. The Star Hotel was originally a religious hostel built in 1345 and is housed in a mixture of new and old buildings.

 Collaboration vs. Ownership

Alex Polizzi’s influence extends beyond these three hotels. While she spearheaded the design and concept of Hotel Tresanton and Hotel Endsleigh, those properties remain part of her family’s larger Rocco Forte Hotels collection. The Star marks a turning point: the first hotel Alex co-owns with her mother, renowned designer Olga Polizzi.

Alex Polizzi’s Philosophy

“I’d rather have a few hotels do well than a whole string of mediocre ones,” Alex has declared.  This statement summarizes her approach: prioritizing intimate, carefully curated experiences over rapid development. This explains Alex’s hands-on involvement in the limited number of hotels with the Polizzi Collection names.

Beyond Hotels: Alex Polizzi’s Other Ventures

Alex proved her entrepreneurial spirit even before hotels, founding the successful wholesale bakery, Millers Bespoke Bakery. As a multi-talented lady, her talents extend to TV, her series “Alex Polizzi: My Hotel Nightmare,” and her expertise in “The Hotel Inspector,”  as well as authoring many business-related books.

Summary!

While Alex Polizzi’s impact reaches far in the hospitality world, her core focus lies within the carefully crafted Polizzi Collection. Here, she delivers on her personalized guest experiences and promises of excellence. Her approach provides a refreshing contrast to mass hotel chains, highlighting character and charm.
